Carlos J. Bravo
Principal and President of Vertex Architecture, Carlos J. Bravo, AIA, LEED AP, has wide range of experience within the Architectural, development, urban planning, interior design, and construction field for over 15 years. Earlier in his career, Carlos served as project architect and manager for large scale projects such as The Beach Club, Ocean III and IV, and Trump Grande, among others. In 2002, Carlos started Vertex Architecture with partner Alex Santamaria where he oversees design, planning, and development of projects including high rises, commercial offices and retail, private residences, and interior design. Carlos’s most recent work includes several Private Residences, Sky Lofts, Island City Lofts, , as well as working with international interior designer Phillippe Starck on the Icon Brickell project, YOO+Arts Tower, Panama, and most recently the Ritz Plaza, South Beach for SLS Hotels. Carlos prides himself in offering his clients a full service firm providing personalized attention and creative and sustainable design solutions. Additionally, he has joined forces with Worldwide Modular, developing a prefabricated building solution that can be transported globally in standard shipping containers, and assembled quickly on site. A prototype building is currently under construction in North Miami. Carlos is a graduate of the University of Miami’s School of Architecture for both Undergraduate and Graduate Studies. Carlos is a member of American Institutes of Architects (AIA) and became a LEED Accredited Professional in 2009.
Alejandro Santamaria, R.A.
Principal and Vice-President of Vertex Architecture, Inc., Alejandro Santamaria has a diversified background and experience in architecture, engineering, interior design and construction projects. He has an undergraduate degree from the University of Miami School of Architecture and a graduate degree in Construction Management from Florida International University. His early career experience includes large scale projects such as the 45-story Continuum Condominium on South Beach and design and construction management for several new United States Post Office branches throughout Miami-Dade County. Current projects include many custom homes, numerous residential additions and renovations, residential and commercial legalizations, and a large number of commercial projects such as several day-care centers and office tenant improvements.
Bibiana Peña, Project Architect
Bibiana joined Vertex Architecture, Inc. in 2011 and brought with her a creative design sense and a thoroughly detailed work ethic. She approaches design and construction document development with patience and detailed diligence. Bibiana is a architectural graduate of the University of Miami, School of Architecture and has worked on many custom homes, numerous residential additions and renovations, and a large number of commercial projects as well. Ms. Peña also has extensive experience doing the interior design drawings for several condominium and hotel projects in the US and the Caribbean.
